This picture marks an historic milestone in the relatively short history of Eastern Gaels, as our Senior Ladies team first ever fixture gets underway against Castletown GFC.

The sun shone brightly on what was a very proud evening for our club as we finally took to the pitch for some competitive action. The Ladies rose to the occasion and delivered an assured performance which hopefully bodes well for the future. There were plenty of top class scores from both teams and some real quality team play on display.

Thanks again to Castletown GFC for hosting us at their excellent venue and hopefully was can return the favour later in the year.

We are very proud to have come so far in a short space of time and would like to thank those who have helped make our vision a reality - especially our main sponsors HQ Electrical Wholesale Ltd. Northern Trust, Crystal Clean and Tara McDonnell Murphy.

But this is only the beginning. Eastern Gaels look forward to becoming an intrinsic part of our community and to providing more opportunity to play Gaelic games in East Meath.
